The kitchen is not my favourite room in the house ‘cos being in it usually means work ie. dishes, cooking etc. But it is nicer to be in now. See it used to be pink – pink cupboards, pink benchtops, pink handles. Last year Sean painted the cupboards white, changed the door handles and he made timber benchtops. He’s done a fantastic job and it looks great. And now at least I feel more comfortable doing the dishes and cooking!
Another part of the kitchen that I love are the spice racks on the wall. And I have been enjoying making salads for our summer BBQs in my favourite green pyrex bowls that Sean found at the op shop recently. I love green!

Total wow on the pyrex ... I kept looking for the op shop love and had to reread to find. They are so nice. And great job on the redecorating front ... the paint job must make all the difference.

What is it about pink in the kitchen in these parts? Our house had bright pink walls, dirty grey old tiles and a bluey/grey laminate cupboards. We painted the walls white, polished the gorgeous floor boards hidden by the hideous tiles amd now the bluey/grey cupboards don't look so bad!

Yeah pink is okay in some places but not kitchens. Or in bathrooms either. We have also painted the bathroom vanities white and the room is sooo much brighter. One of these days we're going to have to catch up Ali and check out each others kitchen renos!
